Sucking Funglasses is Bushytop’s attempt to keep himself sane. It’s an accessible and varied look at what he’s listening to, reading, watching, and thinking. Bushy cut his teeth on Run-DMC’s “Raising Hell” back in ‘86, yet recently discovered that white people make music and that there’s no shame in it. He’s a riddle wrapped in an enigma covered in a stink-nugget. Bushy finds books hexta on time, newspapers informing but messy with that effing ink, and magazines pretty with all them pictures. Basketball is his first love, but he loves all sports not dominated by Eastern Europeans and/or Canadians. The movie “Juice” may have changed his life, but last night a DJ saved it. And “The Wire” confirmed his will to live. Apolitical and fiercely agnostheist (combine agnostic and atheist aka no clue what’s for really real), his thoughts tend to vary depending on the day and his mood.
Bushytop is an unemployed lawyer in Minneapolis and when he’s not lighting up that blogosphere and sipping that search engine-and-juice, you can find him watching the Twins, Wolves, Vikes, and Tubby Smith, hitting up shows, typing and reading like some sort of chic bohemian at a coffee shop, touching up his new Dunk SBs and Blazers, or generally getting into debauchery. Men want to be him, women want to be with him (or so he thinks).
